Ventus Energy / April results

We are pleased to share Ventus Energy Group’s Monthly Report for April 2025, which outlines our recent business development initiatives, operational progress, and key performance indicators.

Throughout April, we made steady advancements in the development of our existing energy infrastructure projects. We are particularly proud to report two key achievements:

  • First, we reached a significant milestone with the official opening of our first fully completed infrastructure project - a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) park near Jelgava, inaugurated on April 25, 2025.

  • Secondly, we completed the development of Ventus Energy’s Strategic Growth Plan for H2 2025, establishing a clear and focused roadmap for continued growth and innovation. We will share the key initiatives included in this plan with you soon.

BESS Parks near Jelgava

The equipment required for constructing the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has been successfully delivered, and all construction work is complete. On April 25, 2025, Ventus Energy officially opened its first fully built infrastructure project – a BESS park near Jelgava.

The BESS park is expected to begin operational activity during May.

Powerhouse Atlasa

In April, active progress was made in implementing Stage 1 of the powerplant project. Equipment production, technical design, and the land acquisition process continued according to the project pipeline.

In April, funding for Stage 2 of the project was initiated. This phase includes the development of additional necessary infrastructure, the construction of a 10 MW electrode boiler, and a 5,000 m³ hot water storage tank.

The Powerhouse Atlasa project will be executed in two stages. Stage 1 includes developing the technical project, acquiring land, constructing a 10 MW station, establishing infrastructure for future expansion, and procuring ready-to-buy equipment. Stage 1 is expected to be finished by the end of 2025, and a 10 MW powerhouse will be commissioned.

Powerhouse Dambis

The acquisition process of Powerhouse Dambis proceeded according to plan in April. The main legal procedures and formalities related to the change of ownership were successfully completed. The takeover of Powerhouse Dambis is expected to be completed in May.

Powerhouse Dambis is a fully operational 15 MW asset active in the Latvian energy market since 2018, with stable yearly profits. The total acquisition amount is €6.36 million, with 50% to be financed by a senior lender.

Solar Park in Kuldiga

The second payment was made to the solar panel manufacturer in April. Given the current high demand for solar panels, the purchase agreement signed in December 2024 for panels and related equipment allows Ventus Energy to achieve a 35% cost savings compared to current market prices.

In addition, Ventus Energy has launched the funding process for Stage 2 of the park, offering a lending opportunity to finance the development and construction of a 2.42 MW / 4.73 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

Operational Solar Park Valmiera Acquisition

In April, Ventus Energy’s lenders financed the acquisition of 100% of the shares in a fully operational 2.66 MW solar power plant in the Valmiera district of Latvia. The plant was built and commissioned in 2024.

The plant has been delivering electricity to the grid since its commissioning in 2024.

The first stage of the project - the acquisition - was financed through mezzanine debt, raised in a single round with a loan amount of €700,000. The solar park currently has an outstanding senior loan of €1,550,000, with a fixed interest rate of 2.9% per annum and a repayment term until 2037.

Powerhouse Daugavpils

We are continuing discussions with the current owners as we work towards a constructive resolution regarding the acquisition. The 72-hour tests, initially planned earlier, have now been rescheduled for mid-May. We will share further updates as progress develops.

Early Exit activated

As of April 2025, the Early Exit feature became active for several Ventus Energy projects. This feature allows lenders to request early repayment of their loans, either partially or in full, providing greater capital liquidity and flexibility.

In April, 10% of lenders took advantage of this option, withdrawing €1,460,348. All requests were successfully processed, and the funds have been transferred to the respective bank accounts.

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Looking ahead to May, Ventus Energy will continue to move forward in line with the Strategic Plan 2025, with several key initiatives underway. These include the official launch of the Powerhouse Dambis acquisition, participation in Germany’s largest investment fair – INVEST in Stuttgart, and the release of new and enhanced platform features designed to benefit our growing community of lenders.
