We are pleased to share the Ventus Energy Group’s Monthly Report for June 2025, highlighting our recent business developments, operational progress, and key performance indicators.
Throughout June, we made steady strides in advancing our existing energy infrastructure projects while actively exploring new strategic directions. Notable initiatives during the month included:
-
Commencement of funding for the acquisition of a fully operational powerhouse in Smiltene.
-
Launch of the Ventus Energy Loyalty Program, aimed at strengthening long-term engagement with our investor community.

Powerhouse Dambis
Powerhouse Dambis was not in active operation during June, as it does not supply heat to the Riga municipality or generate electricity during the summer season. This period is dedicated to essential repairs and maintenance in preparation for the upcoming heating season.
BESS Parks near Jelgava
In June, final installation works for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) were completed in both sections of the Solar Parks near Jelgava, preparing the system for full-scale operation. The park is expected to begin operating in test mode in July, enabling participation in electricity trading on the Nord Pool exchange.
By the end of summer, the solar park is expected to be operating at full capacity and actively contributing to grid balancing services.
Powerhouse Atlasa
In June, steady progress continued on the implementation of Stage 1 of the powerhouse project. Land plot preparation, production of equipment and other initiatives remained on schedule.
Solar Park in Kuldiga
The planned earthworks and infrastructure construction for Stage 2 of the Kuldīga Solar Park have been delayed due to unfavourable weather conditions in Latvia, particularly increased rainfall. However, no significant deviations from the overall project schedule are currently anticipated.
At the same time, progress continues on the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The necessary batteries and technical equipment have been ordered, with delivery to Latvia expected shortly.
Wind Park Lithuania
In May, Ventus Energy’s new strategic direction — wind park acquisition and development — continued to progress. A wind park project in Lithuania, consisting of 6 turbines across three separate locations with a total capacity of 2.45 MW, was in the funding phase.
The acquisition of the target company has been completed. As a result, in June, we expect to record our first revenue from the two turbines already in active operation. In July, we anticipate obtaining the necessary permits for the remaining four turbines.
Powerhouse Daugavpils
During June, equipment testing was carried out at the powerhouse. The systems were operated during the tests, and the results confirmed that the equipment is in good technical condition.
Currently, work is underway to revise the business plan for the Daugavpils Powerhouse to maximise the effective use of its equipment and assets. In the coming months, we will provide lenders with an update on the revised operational plan.
Solar Park Valmiera
After successfully raising the necessary funds, June brought significant progress in completing the transition process with the current owners of the solar park. Key agreements have been aligned, and we are moving steadily toward finalising the acquisition.
The asset is a fully operational 2.66 MW solar power plant located in the Valmiera district of Latvia. Commissioned in 2024, it has been reliably supplying electricity to the grid since launch.
Powerhouse Smiltene
In June, we launched the funding process for the acquisition of another fully operational 13.25 MW biomass cogeneration power plant located in Smiltene, Latvia. The facility has been in operation since 2009 and is the most significant heat producer in the Smiltene municipality. It is connected to both the national electricity grid and the district heating system. With an annual output of approximately 4,000 MWh of electricity and 13,000 MWh of thermal energy, the plant reported an EBITDA of €460,000 in 2024.
Ventus Energy Loyalty Program
In June, we launched the Ventus Energy Loyalty Program, designed to recognise and reward our active and loyal lenders. The program is structured into three tiers — Spark, High Voltage, and Super Charge — with the opportunity to earn up to 1% more on all investments. As of the end of June, over 512 lenders are in the Spark tier, 162 in High Voltage, and 45 in Super Charge. Find out more about our Loyalty program HERE.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
As we step into July, a month often marked by holidays and a slower pace in the financial world, we remain confident in the continued strong interest from our lenders in financing energy projects.
During this period, we are actively focused on strengthening our strategic foundations. We anticipate receiving important regulatory updates concerning Ventus Energy, and we have entered the final stage of finalising another key partnership that will further enhance our position within the energy and financing markets.
